SAN FRANCISCO (Wireless Flash) -- "Brokeback Mountain" is inspiring rave reviews from critics and lame jokes from others.

That's the lament of San Francisco-based computer programmer and blogger Matt Baume, who is sick of hearing the Heath Ledger-Jake Gyllenhaal love story being called "Bareback Mountain."

For those not in the know, "bareback" is a slang word for unprotected sex, and Baume frets the joke will keep people from seeing what he considers "a very nice love story."

And while he concedes the jokey title has "a slight amount of humor", he insists it "played itself out a year ago and isn't THAT funny to begin with."
"Brokeback Mountain" is currently being rolled out nationally and Baume figures exposure is the key for ending the string of cheesy jokes.

In his words, "Once you become acquainted with something, you're less likely to make fun of it."
