| Plastic Surgeon Expects Smaller Breasts
In 2005
PARK RIDGE, Ill. (Wireless Flash) -- Bigger
isn't necessarily better anymore when it comes to breast
implants.
That's the titillating news from Chicago-area
plastic surgeon Sam Speron, who is predicting that many
women who will undergo
breast augmentation this year will opt for smaller sizes
than patients have in previous years.
Dr. Speron says
people are getting tired of the overinflated "pornorific" boob
sizes that have been standard issue from surgeons since "Baywatch" hit
the pop culture scene in the 1990s.
In his words, "People
are done with that Pam Anderson big breast look."
He predicts
many of his patients will only jump up one to two cup
sizes with surgery this year, averaging a B to small C
in their final size.
Dr. Speron says the trend is driven
by the desire to look more natural, as well as an interest
in cultivating a classic Hollywood
look "a la" Lauren Bacall or Grace Kelly.
Current role
models for the look include modest-bosomed actress Nicole
Kidman.
